What is it?

Kybella® is a medical treatment for double chin. Extra tissue under the chin hinders a defined jaw line. Usually, this is caused by a little fat or adipose tissue in the submental area. A great solution is Kybella® or deoxycholic acid. Kybella® is injected into the submental fat (below the chin), after injection, it destroys fat cells and reduces appearance of double chin. Kybella® is a naturally occurring bile acid in the body. Once it interacts with the submental fat, it destroys the adipocytes and is then absorbed into the intestine. After the fat cells are destroyed, they do not come back. Kybella® was FDA approved in 2015. You are a good candidate foy Kybella® if you are over 18, have some submental fat, do not have an active infection, and if you prefer not to have surgery.
